Regulations of World Combat Sambo Championship 2005

1. Incentives and targets

Popularization and development of combat sambo as an international sport

Promotion and development of friendly liaisons between sportsmen of the World Combat Sambo Federation, Word Association of Combat Sambo Clubs, clubs and schools of different styles and trends of wrestling

2. Participants of the World Championship

The championship is meant for the male sportsmen organized in teams (not less than 2 persons in a category) as well as united team of the region-organizer of the Championship in the status of the second united team of the country.

3. Regulations and World Championship Board

Individual and team Championship is held under the Regulations of the World Combat Sambo Federation, approved at the World Combat Sambo Federation Conference on December, 18, 2004,( hereafter – Regulations) meeting the Olympic system.

The Jury approved by the board shall be vested with the right to hold the Championship.

4. Championship Shedule and Venue

The Championship shall be held on the 24th December, 2005 with the address: Sport Palace of the Moscow state construction university, Yaroslavskoye route, 26 A, Moscow, The Russian Federation

Venue: VDNH metro station, exit from the 1st car from the center, bus 172, 244, trolleybus 76, the stop of “Ulitsa Veshnih Vod”, on foot. Or route taxi 44 from VDNH metro station, the stop of “Dvorets Sporta MGSU”.

5. Participants uniform

The uniform for the participants shall meet the Regulations: sport jacket with the belt and trunks of red and dark-blue color for the combats. Knots, shell and open gloves is compulsory, sport foot-wear shall be with the soft sole. It is permitted to come out without foot-wear. Soft crash helmet without the visor and with the open chin shall be permitted at will of participants.

6. Categories

The Championship is open to the participants of the following categories: up to 57 kilos, up to 62 kilos, up to 68 kilos, up to 74 kilos, up to 82 kilos, up to 90 kilos, over 90 kilos.

7. Combat schedule and venue

The combats shall last 4 minutes, the combats for the third prize and finals shall last 5 minutes. The prize winner shall be selected according to the Regulations.

8. Financial terms

Transport and insurance expenditures of participants and other members of the delegations shall be covered by the organizations themselves.

Organization and administrative expenditures shall be covered by the Board.

9. Application terms

10. The list of the documents to be presented to the mandatory committee

Passport or other document equally certifying personality;

Personal application (listing the country, surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, sports qualification and weight), signed by the coach of the team and the doctor, approved by the wrestling federation or the club;

Life and health insurance certificate of the participant

2 state colours of the country

the state hymn in MP3 format

11. Competition schedule:

Mandatory committee and Weighting		09.00. - 10.00 December, 24, 2005
Preliminary combats	–	11.00. - 13.30 December, 24, 2005
Opening of the Championship	–	14.00. - 14.30 December, 24, 2005
Combats for the third prize and finals	–	14.30. - 16.30 December, 24, 2005
Championship closing	–	17.30 December, 24, 2005

12. Rewarding

Champions and prize winners shall be rewarded with medals and certificates, valuable prizes.

The teams shall be rewarded with certificates and goblets.

The champions shall be given the title of combat sambo master of world class according to the classification of the World Association of Combat Sambo Clubs with the condition of meeting classification specifications.
