Regulation for the First World Cup of the Men’s Professional Combat Sambo

1. Purposes and objectives
- Improving sports skills of participants:
- Development and strengthening of friendly relations between the sportsmen of various clubs and schools;
- Development of professional combat sambo in Russia and abroad;
- Promotion of healthy lifestyle.
2. Management of competitions
Competitions are managed by Department of Physical Education and Sports of Administration of Sochi, Municipal Budgetary Institution of Physical Education and Sports “Center of sports activities”. Krasnodar Regional Association of combat sambo and mixed martial arts (invitation, reception, accommodation, ensuring the safety of participants).
Responsibility for competition is placed on the Chief Panel of Judges approved by the Krasnodar regional federation of combat sambo and mixed martial arts.
Chief referee is an international referee, honored master of combat sambo - Mikhail Nikolaevich Smirnov; deputy chief referee is a referee of republican category - Andrey Alexandrovich Tishchenko, chief secretary of the competition is the director of the training center "Fanat" - Anastasia Olegovna Bolshakova.
3. Time and place for competition
First World Cup of the Men’s Professional Combat Sambo is held at the address: 56 Konstitutsii Str., Sochi, Sport and fitness complex «Spartak».
4. Ensuring the safety of participants and spectators
The construction of Sport and fitness complex «Spartak» meets the requirements of corresponding normative legal acts, which are in force on the territory of the Russian Federation and are aimed at ensuring public order and the safety of participants and spectators.
Competitions are held upon availability of qualified medical staff and an ambulance car.
5. Weight categories
Competitions are handled among participants starting from 18 years with the following weight categories:
18-20 years
-62,-68,-74,-82,-90
21 +
-62,-68,-74,-82,-90, 90+
6. Program for competitions
Arrival of participants and their registration and weighing
July 19th , from 12:00 until 15:00 hours
Beginning of competitions
July 20th , at 9:00, formal opening at 13:00
7. Requirements for participants and admission conditions
The following participants are allowed for competitions: representatives of schools for combat sambo and combat sports, which represent Russian Federation of Combat Sambo and the World Combat Sambo Federation, as well as other Federations of martial arts.
NOTE: TEAMS OF « NORTH CAUCASIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT » ARE ADMITTED BY 2 PEOPLE PER WEIGHT (NO MORE) – BY SEPARATE INVITATION OF THE TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT, AFTER CONSIDERATION OF PRELIMENARY APPLICATION. (WITHOUT SEPARATE INVITATION TO WEIGHING OF «NORTH CAUCASIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT» THE TEAM WILL NOT BE ADMITTED…)
Competitors’ age is 18+
Participants are allowed to compete only with approval of a doctor.
8. Conditions of competitions
Competitions are held: in the ring and in the Octagon, athletes perform without jackets. The preliminary part of competitions: 18-20 years - 1 round x 4 min., 21 + years -1 round x 5 min. In the final: 18-20 years - 2 rounds x 4 min., 21 + years - 2 rounds x 5 minutes. Are admitted the sportsmen with the level of training of not less than 1 category on any kind of martial arts.
Protest is registered in accordance with clause 5.5. of Rules of Combat Sambo Federation of Russia. Appeal fee is 2 (two) thousand rubles.
9.Competition entries

Teams’ officials forward the following documents of participants to the mandatory commission:
- identification document of a sportsman;
- nominal application form with admission (with seal and signature) of a doctor, signature of a coach;
- policy of obligatory medical insurance;
- original of contract of accident insurance, life and health for each competitor;
- certificate (qualification book) of a sportsmen;
10. Conditions for summing up
Competition is team and personal. The winners in each weight category will be determined by the results of matches in accordance with the Rules of the World Combat Sambo Federation.
The winner is the team with the most points.
11. Awards
Those sportsmen who took premier place will be awarded with a diploma, a medal, winner goblet or prizes.
Prize-winners of the tournament will be awarded with medals and certificates.
Coaches of champions are awarded certificates.
Those sportsmen who took premier place will be granted a qualification of a «master of combat sambo» provided that they met qualification requirements.
12. Terms of financing
Costs related to providing the application, assignment of participants, judges, seconds, team representatives, and insurance of participants, bear sending organizations.
Costs related to organization and management of the tournament bears Organizing committee.
Charitable starting payment at competition is 800 rubles (paid when weighing)
